Tuesday was a lucky day at Valley View Casino for Jessie Ablang.
The Poway resident scored a nice post-holiday treat when he won nearly $400,000 playing the penny slots on Tuesday night.
Ablang was down to his last five cents on the slot when the machine suddenly froze. He thought that it was broken and got the attention of a nearby Valley View Casino employee.
When a manager told Jessie that his machine was not broken and that he had just hit the casino’s internal mystery progressive Colossal Coin jackpot for almost $400,000, Jessie’s immediate response was “I did?!”
Ablang received a giant check on Wednesday afternoon from the casino president. When asked how he would spend his winnings, he said he would likely use the money to pay for his house.
