Motorcyclist Killed After Police Pursuit

A motorcyclist was killed Wednesday morning near Chollas Creek after San Diego police said an officer tried to stop him from riding his motorcycle too fast.

The motorcyclist was traveling near Home Avenue and the I-805 just after midnight Wednesday when police attempted to pull him over, according to the San Diego Police Department.

The rider lost control and struck a curb. He was thrown from his motorcycle at the 3100 block of Euclid.

The motorcyclist's identity has not yet been released.

Police are still investigating the events surrounding the death.
