    NBCSanDiego was able to speak with a few people displaced during a fire inside a building in Mission Beach on Friday.

    A two-alarm fire that forced several evacuations in Mission Beach on Friday afternoon has been put out.

    Crews were still mopping up hot spots shortly after 2 p.m., officials said.

    The flames had been burning inside a building at San Fernando Road and Mission Boulevard.

    According to our crew on the scene, the building looked to be completely gutted inside and out.

    The fire began at about 1:23 p.m., according to officials.
