A two-alarm fire that forced several evacuations in Mission Beach on Friday afternoon has been put out.
Crews were still mopping up hot spots shortly after 2 p.m., officials said.
The flames had been burning inside a building at San Fernando Road and Mission Boulevard.
According to our crew on the scene, the building looked to be completely gutted inside and out.
The fire began at about 1:23 p.m., according to officials.
Multiple buildings were evacuated, including units at 2965 Mission Blvd., Devon Court and Dover Court..
Firefighters, as well as San Diego police, controled traffic during the blaze.
