1,400 Without Power in North County
Power outage affected neighborhoods in Carlsbad, Oceanside and San Luis Rey

Nearly 1,400 homes in the north county experienced a power outage Monday night.
SDG&E officials say there were two separate outages. One in the neighborhoods of Oceanside, San Luis Rey and Carlsbad, and the other in Vista.
The outage in Oceanside was caused by a variety of factors, officials say. Power is expected to return by 11 p.m.
The Vista outage was caused by a suspected problem in the overhead electrical system. Power should be back by 11:30 p.m.
