San Diegans Bundle Up for Chilly Weather in Storm's Wake

High surf pounded the San Diego County coastline again Tuesday prompting the closure of the Ocean Beach Pier, lifeguards said.

A high surf advisory was in effect through 8 p.m. with 4 to 8-foot waves expected over the afternoon and into the evening.

San Diego Fire-Rescue's Twitter account posted incredible images of the surf crashing against the seawall and the pier in OB.

Some coastal flooding was possible, according to the National Weather Service.

North County was the big winner when it comes to rainfall. Here are precipitation totals from Monday's storm:

Fallbrook 1.28”
Vista 1.14”
Oceanside 1.20”
Carlsbad .85”
Solana Beach 1.22”

San Diego, Chula Vista, Santee and Point Loma all received less than an inch of rain.

As of 9 p.m. Monday, Palomar Mountain had received four inches of snow with three inches recorded in Mount Laguna. Julian had received approximately an inch of snow by that time Monday night.
