Chargers RB Involved in Car Accident

A Chargers running back was involved in a car accident this week, according to officials.

Ryan Mathews, 24, was at practice on Tuesday afternoon, but was not participating in play.

Chargers representatives Bill Johnston called the accident "minor" and said he is doing fine.

After practice, Mathews told NBC 7 San Diego that on Monday night he was on his way to the hotel when he lost control of his car after another car ran into him.

He said he is okay and went to the hospital as a precautionary measure.
