Multiple people called 911 Wednesday morning to report a fire in Normal Heights.
Crews headed to the canyon where the fire was reported on 38th St. and Normal Heights, according to the San Diego Fire Department.
The fire was reported at about 11 a.m. About ten minutes later, crews were in the mop-up stages of their emergency efforts.
By 11:20 a.m. crews had knocked down the fire completely.
