President Obama to Get Pop-Culture Quizzed on “The View” Tuesday

It will be the Commander-in-Chief's second appearance on the morning talk show

The ladies of "The View" quizzed President Obama Monday on his pop culture knowledge during a taping of the show set to air Tuesday—and he didn't perform too badly.

He knew that Kim Kardashian recently got married, but explained that he only knew "because it was to a ball player," The Clicker reported.

He knew about the blockbuster smash, "The Avengers," and had recently seen it, but failed in the chick-lit department.

When asked about the semi-erotic book topping best-seller lists, he was unable to identify E.L. James' "50 Shades of Grey." He said he would have to check with his wife about that.

The commander-in-chief also said that no one in his household had his viral rendition of "Let's Stay Together" as their ringtone. But the topic prompted him to share that his daughter Malia has referred to him as "just the right amount of embarrassing."

It wasn't all pop culture, however. The President, who was in New York to deliver a commencement speech at Barnard College and attend two campaign fundraisers, also discussed gay marriage, JP Morgan and other topics du jour.

Obama has appeared on the program twice before. Once in March 2008 when he was a U.S. Senator, and again in July 2010.

The full episode airs on ABC at 11 a.m. ET.
