"You're doing very well on probation," LA Judge Patricia Schnegg told the R&B singer at a hearing on his progress. "You're doing a great job."
Brown was sentenced to five years probation and six months of community labor last year after being found guilty of assaulting then-girlfriend. On Thursday, he arrived at the courthouse wearing a white shirt, black vest and khaki pants. His lawyer, Mark Geragos, and one bodyguard accompanied him.
"You are doing very well," Schnegg continued. "You are doing everything you are supposed to... you are working consistently on your community labor."
At an earlier hearing in May, Brown's attorney Geragos said his client had completed 300 hours of community service.
Brown, 21, who appears in the new film "Takers," The didn't speak during the hearing.
