Naso is a four-time Emmy nominated anchor and reporter, who has covered some of the biggest stories of the last decade from both the field and the anchor desk. A big part of her focus has been military stories, including deployments and homecomings as well as an inside look at the Marine Corps through her coverage of the “Dawn Blitz” exercise on the West Coast following the September 11th terror attacks involving 5,000 Marines and sailors staging a mock invasion at Camp Pendleton.

Naso grew up in a military family as her father, a Captain in the Marine Corps, served four years active duty and six years in the Reserves. He was stationed at Camp Pendleton before serving in Vietnam.

Naso started her broadcast journalism career at KERO in Bakersfield, California. She then worked as a freelance journalist in Washington D.C. for WTTG before arriving in San Diego in 2000. Naso was named one of San Diego’s 50 People to Watch by San Diego Magazine and has received a local Health Hero Award from San Diego’s Combined Health Agencies. She attended California State University in Fresno.  Naso and her husband live in San Diego with their son.
