    Friday, the second night of Run-DMC Remixed with Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe and Vokab Kompany hits the Belly Up; the Wailers play at Harrah’s Resort Southern California; Rebecca Jade & the Cold Fact and the Verigolds are at the Whistle Stop; the Used, Everytime I Die, Marmozets and the Eeries take over House of Blues; Disappears, the Dabbers and Octagrape are at the Casbah; the Donkeys headline at Soda Bar; Hip-Hop vs. Punk Rock hits the Tower Bar; Christkiller Record Release is at Til-Two; the Swellers, Heartsounds, Russ Rankin and Western Settings are at House of Blues Voodoo Stage; and bMUSE, Karma Police and Skrillish take over the Ken Club. Elsewhere, Bonobo (DJ Set) hits the Observatory North Park; Wax Motif is at Bang Bang; and Junior theDiscopunk spins at Air Conditioned Lounge.

Later that night, His Name Is Alive 25th Anniversary Tour hits the Casbah with PRGRM and Bakkuda; the Eeries play at the Loft; Leftover Salmon take over the Belly Up; New Mexico, Sleeping Ghost, Emerald Rats, and the Slashes are at Tower Bar; and Masked Intruder, Success, Caskitt and Brian Wahlstrom play at Soda Bar. On the dance tip, Club Ascension’s Nine Year Anniversary Party is at the Kava Lounge with DJs Chad O, Doktor Zayus and yours truly; Mike Delgado is at Bar Pink; ‘80s vs. ‘90s with Gabe Vega and Saul Q hits the Whistle Stop; Bass-Quake is at Winston’s; EC Twins take over Bassmnt; and Wankelmut overruns Bang Bang.
