Delta Spirit play the first evening of a two-night run at the Irenic on Friday.

It definitely feels like summer when all of these awesome shows decide to roll through town at once. Unfortunately HoneyHoney at Soda Bar and Will Butler of Arcade Fire at the Casbah are already sold out, but former San Diegans Delta Spirit kick off the first of two nights at the Irenic. Saturday is already sold out, so this is your chance to see the band perform with a nod to the Band's "Last Waltz" before Delta Spirit get off the road for a while to work on new music and new projects. The Irenic is all-ages but does serve beer and wine for those of you shy about committing to a 7 p.m. show. Meanwhile, Pinata Protest perform at the Hideout, and the Chris Robinson Brotherhood perform a late show at the Observatory after the conclusion of FilmOut. Expect doors around 9:15 p.m., with the show starting shortly after.
