Sometimes I really love to chill out and take a step back to basics. It's not surprising, for example, to see a lineup that includes Schitzophonics, Okapi Sun, and the Nformals performing on the same bill, but sometimes it's easy to get so caught up in chasing touring bands that we ignore our San Diego locals. Yet these very locals are the ones who keep things going when the touring machine dries up or has its own fits and starts. The Casbah this Wednesday will no doubt be a good time. Other options include Commune Wednesday at Soda Bar, a San Diego Coastkeeper benefit at the Belly Up, and touring band And And And at the Tin Can.
