Sunset Sessions ROCK is one of my favorite annual events, but after several years of being hosted in San Diego it was time for it to move to other cities. Fortunately, this year it returns home and will showcase at the Belly Up with tickets open to the public. It's a super cool event where various labels, managers and independent artists all vie for the attention of music supervisors, program directors and other music industry professionals. Bands like Dale Earnhart Jr. Jr. have played in San Diego several times, but others will be breaking into our scene for the first time. It all starts at 7:30 p.m. with frequent rotations to accommodate all music acts. Also, there's lots of other cool stuff happening around town so, take a pick at the listings for a fun-filled Friday for you and your friends.
