Did I tell you this week was jam-packed? When I heard tUnE-YaRds were touring, I pressured Tim Mays to bring the band to San Diego. I beg, pleaded and e-mailed, and sure enough, the San Diego show was a late add to the tour but it didn't need long to sell out. I'm especially excited to catch Sylvan Esso since I missed their Soda Bar show a few months back. Meanwhile, the Jezabels are selling out their shows in other cities and maybe we're just a little behind the curve, but there are tickets available for Wednesdays show at the Casbah. If you're into music with a litle more sensitivity, you might consider heading to the Belly Up to catch Joe Purdy, who has an extensive and wonderful catalog of music but will forever make me think of that Dawn commercial where they clean the oil-slicked animals soundtracked by his song "Wash Away." I guess some things imprint forever.
