Sometimes a local band can just escape your radar until it starts to feel like you can't hide from all of their press. The Lovebirds released Breakup Shmakeup in May, and my inbox can't stop talking about it. The duo of Lindsay White and Veronica May wrote a record that "chronicles the experience of ending their romantic partnership in order to preserve their musical partnership," and the results have them getting some big press and awards. You can check them out on Wednesday at the Tin Can Alehouse. Around town, Grave Babies return with a show at Soda Bar, Saint Shameless appears at Casbah, and Bar Pink will be a party with The Bugs.
