Emily King plays Soda Bar Monday.

It's Monday in San Diego, and if you're lucky, you're enjoying a three-day weekend. Even if you're not, there a plenty of great things going on in town Monday. At Soda Bar, you can catch Grammy-nominated performer Emily King. After a career supporting artists like Alicia Keys, Sara Bareilles, Nas and Maroon 5, King has struck out on her own with her first headlining tour. The tour is selling out in other cities, so let's show her some San Diego support. Meanwhile, at the Casbah it's time for a punk night with Rvivr. Be sure to get there early for Tiltwheel, because they just don't seem to play enough anymore. At the Office, Pump House and Subtropics bring a party, and nuevo flamenco artist Jesse Cook is at California Center for the Arts, Escondido. For those of you in the service industry, drop by West Coast Tavern before you head out to celebrate Chinese New Year at what they're calling Industry New Year, for everyone who didn't get to party on December 31.
