There are plenty of great shows tonight, and I personally was on the fence, but after the Gay Blades sent a tweet that they had written a song to promote their show in San Diego, I was instantly won over. Take a look at their YouTube page; they have been doing this along their entire tour, writing and recording a song for each city along the way, but I'm a sucker for bands that go the extra mile to stand out above the crowd and work hard to get some attention, and I really look forward to checking them out. They're joined by Grand Tarantula, a band that has really made an impression on the San Diego scene in 2010 and is definitely a local band to watch moving into 2011. Check out "The Casbah's On Fire (San Diego)" and come see the band live tonight at the Casbah.
