Now that the Olympics are in full swing, many of us have been spending time taking it all in. Here in San Diego, there is so much going on this weekend that you’ll need plenty of time to take in all the great live events too.
Got my eye on a few events Thursday, including Mumbai Science, TJR and Mossberg Pump at Voyeur. It’s free before 10:30 p.m. with your RSVP here. Plus, Le Spank featuring Saul Q, Jon Dadon and Boys Don’t Disco at the Office.
On Friday, Moonshake at Kadan will take you on a future disco, spacey house and techey groove excursion. This event features special guest DJ Barry Weaver, plus resident DJs Lee Reynolds, Dazzla and Mark E Quark. There’s no cover and you can get more info via this link. Steel Pulse plays after the last race Friday at the 91X Del Mar Concert Series. The concert is free with your track admission. On Saturday, Cake performs after the last race.
At Wavehouse on Saturday starting at 3 p.m., LED presents R3HAB, TJR, Brazzabelle and Mossberg Pump. Later on that night, it’s Sweden’s very own Rebecca and Fiona at Voyeur. They’ll be busting out a whole new set of music, including new remixes of their older tracks and brand new songs. The duo just released I Love You Man a few weeks ago, so make sure you’ve got your dancing shoes ready and get on the no-cover-before-10:30 p.m. list here. For your dark underground music fix, head to Club Ascension at the Kava Lounge. Tom King and I welcome special guest DJs Ladynoir and Dark Angel. Plus, it’s your chance to win tickets to Dead Can Dance on Aug. 15 at Humphreys Concerts By the Bay. More info via this link.
Keep up to date via my blog here and I’ll see you on the dance floor!
