Party with the Nation–One Nation!

Disco-rocking DJ's throw night-sweating party

DJ'S Bart Blackstone and Atari will be bringing down the house at the Whistle Stop Bar and The Casbash March 14. They have been behind some of San Diego's best parties for more than a decade, according to the website Yelp.com. "Their disco-rocking events...always leave you dripping with sweat and even a few tears."

One Nation started out as a series of underground parties around San Diego in the late eighties and has been going strong in one form or another ever since according to its MySpace page. The club started in the era before rave, more in line with Soul II Soul's warehouse parties in South London, Area in New York or clubs like Power Tools in LA. Venues have ranged from old 1930's big band dancehalls to cultural centers to abandoned warehouses - in the late 80's and early 90's downtown SD was just beginning redevelopment and there were tons of cool old warehouses to be found.
