Space Day is Heavenly for Kids

What kid never once dreamed of becoming an astronaut?

This Saturday, take your kids down to the San Diego Air and Space Museum for the 6th annual Space Day. Kids and adults alike will get a chance to participate in hands-on activities and watch an array of demonstrations about the great big universe we live in.

Some activities include:

  • Driving a Mars Rover
  • Launching a Bottle Rocket
  • Giveways
  • Designing a Space Patch
  • Space suits, moon rocks and an Apollo spacecraft

Also, presenters from NASA, Virgin Galactic, Sally Ride Science and lots of other groups will give presentations. A free screening of the new space documentary "Ophans of Apollo" will also be shown.
