As French bulldogs top the list of LA’s favorite breeds, experts emphasize the importance of adoption amid a worsening shelter crisis.

From Wednesday Jan. 15 through Jan. 26, the Bissell Pet Foundation is sponsoring an Empty the Shelters promotion, allowing the SDHS to reduce adoption fees of adult dogs and cats to $25.

Amid all of the devastation in Los Angeles, many animals are also in need. The San Diego Humane Society is taking in dogs from the Pasadena Humane Society and hopefully placing them in a new home in San Diego. NBC 7’s Kelvin Henry reports.

A “pup-up” adoption, helmed by the Helen Woodward Animal Center, is pairing people casting their ballots with furry cuties.
