Sounds Like San Diego: May 17

There's so much going on this Friday and throughout the weekend that it feels a little cruel to recommend any specific event over any others. After you participate in Bike to Work Day (it's not cheating if you have to jump on a bus with your bike for extra long commutes), get out and enjoy all that San Diego has to offer. Jimmy Eat World perform a sold-out show at the House of Blues, the Burning Of Rome headline a stacked local lineup at the Casbah, and UCSD hosts its annual Sun God Festival. I'm always excited about new art or performance spaces, so I'll probably head downtown to Warehouse1425 to check out the art and see Family Wagon headline a music lineup that also features Spirit Vine and Dirty Sirens. Still, there's so much to see and do this Friday that a good study down the lineup should yield positive results no matter where you go.
