I have to admit I wasn't completely sold on One eskimO the first time I heard their single "Kandi."
I had read about the lyric being sampled from an oldies hit and there was some minor hooplah about it on the web, but it was a private listener show with KPRI at Sound Wave, which had been renovated from Canes, that sold me on the band. They were playing before their Coachella appearance, and I was sure I was in the presence of a band that would soon be huge. I found the animations that accompanied their music online and the music took on a whole new meaning. To see this band in a pristine venue like Anthology will be nothing less than amazing. Catch them if you can.
