PGA golfer John Rahm shot a final round 65 (-7) to win the 2017 Famers Insurance Open at Torrey Pines Golf Course.
It was Rahm's first career PGA Tour tournament win and he did it in style. Rahm closed his 4th round with a breaking, downhill 60 foot eagle on the 18th green.
"I never thought it was going to be for eagle from 60 feet, especially at Torrey Pines, but the fact that it went in is just incredible," Rahm said, "The emotion just overwhelmed me. But man, that was a satisfying feeling."
Rahm final 72 hole score of 13 under par was good for a three-shot victory over Charles Howell III and C.T. Pan of Taiwan.
San Diego's Phil Mickelson finished at 7 under par, tied for 14th place, while Pat Perez, who went to high school at nearby Torrey Pines, finished tied for 4th at 9 under par.
By winning the Farmers Insurance Open, Rahm earned the 1.2 million dollar winners check and gets into The Masters.
