For the 19th time this season the Padres failed to score in a game. The Padres made Dodgers starter Dan Haren look like Don Drysdale. Haren (13-10) struck out five over seven innings and allowed four hits in the Dodgers 4-0 win Wednesday night at Chavez Ravine.
Ian Kennedy (210-13) was not sharp for the Padres, although he managed to give up just three runs on ten hits over six innings.
The Padres have a day off on Thursday, then play a three-game series in Arizona over the weekend.
