Boos Wake Up Chargers

Edge Chiefs at Qualcomm

They were booed off the field at halftime, as they trailed the hapless Chiefs 13-6. It was hardly what the Chargers wanted to hear, but it's what they deserved.

"It woke us up," according to a number of Chargers.

They played the second half with far more passion, as they beat Kansas City. It'll go down as a far from impressive victory.

The defense uner new coordinator Ron Rivera, still had trouble getting to the quarterback. The only time Tyler Thigpen was sacked, he ran out of bounds behind the line of scrimmage.

While Philip Rivers tossed a pair of touchdown passes to win it, the pair of interceptions he threw were awful decisions.

The Chargers won despite themselves at times. But winniing is the bottom line. They're still just a game behind the Broncos in the AFC West.
