49ers' fans upset about word this week of Steve Young helping Green Bay quarterback Aaron Rodgers during his first years in the league have something to smile about.

Another former legendary 49ers quarterback came back to the team Wednesday to relive some of his glory days.

The young York has tried hard to reconnect the current 49ers with the glory years that were overseen by his uncle, Eddie DeBartolo.

But things were different Wednesday as Montana was officially inducted into the 49ers' Hall of Fame.

“I think it’s a tremendous honor because this is what I consider home," Montana said Wednesday, according to "So to be in the 49ers Hall of Fame, it’s really special. As a player, you don’t think about all these types of things, but as your hair turns grey a little bit, you start thinking about it more.

Former players, such as Young and Ronnie Lott, have publicly spoken in recent years about the lack of connection former players feel with the current management of the team.
