LONDON -- The Chargers, now in England, will be facing former QB Drew Brees this weekend for the first time since he left San Diego for the New Orleans Saints.
Chargers linebacker Shaun Phillips is especially looking forward to the meeting. Phillips played with Brees at Purdue and again in San Diego. Philips said he used to joke with Brees and say "I'm going to get a hit on you one day."
The Chargers last played the Saints in 2004, and Brees led San Diego to a 43-17 win with four touchdown passes.
