San Diego State will name a replacement for beleaguered Chuck Long.
SDSU will officially name Brady Hoke as its new head football coach on Monday. Hoke, who led Ball State to a 12-1 record, was also a candidate for the head coaching job at Auburn. One of the main reasons Brady is leaving Ball State is money. He made $240,000 this season. The Aztecs are expected to pay at least $700,000.
The Aztecs fired coach Chuck Long after three unsuccessful seasons. Hoke's brother John, who once coached at San Diego State, is currently the secondary coach for the Houston Texans.
