NBA Game Summary – Milwaukee at LA Lakers

Los Angeles, CA (Sports Network) - Kobe Bryant scored 20 points, more than all five of Milwaukee's starters combined, as the Los Angeles Lakers blew past the Bucks, 105-92, at the Staples Center.

Derek Fisher added 19 points and five steals for the Lakers, who won for a third straight time and moved to 17-2 this season, equaling the best start to a campaign in team history. Bryant, who went 6-of-13 from the field, also had a season-high eight assists. Andrew Bynum contributed 14 points and 14 rebounds.

Milwaukee's five starters totaled just 18 points, including two from Michael Redd on 1-of-6 shooting. Malik Allen, Richard Jefferson, Andrew Bogut, Luke Ridnour and Redd combined to go 8-for-28 from the field.

Joe Alexander had 15 points to pace Milwaukee, which had a two-game win streak broken. Luc Mbah a Moute had 14 points in defeat as the Bucks lost their fourth straight road game.

Bryant's technical free throw extended the Lakers to a 20-10 lead with under four minutes left in the opening quarter, and it was 24-16 going to the second.

Los Angeles continued to hold a sizeable lead going toward the half. Two free throws from Pau Gasol made it 38-24, and Bryant's jumper in the final minute moved the margin to 43-31 at intermission.

The Bucks fell further behind in the third. Gasol's layup made it 59-35 with 8:07 left in the period, and the hosts carried a 74-54 lead going to the fourth.

Milwaukee made one final push, getting within 101-87 on Francisco Elson's bucket, but that was with nearly 1 1/2 minutes left, too late for a comeback.
