In Carlsbad, voters will consider whether to spend city funds to build a new fire station.
A yes vote for Measure O would approve spending $7 to $10.5 million to build a replacement Fire Station 2.
A citywide vote to spend the funds is necessary because of a measure passed more than 30 years ago requiring voter approval before city officials can spend more than $1 million of general funds.
There was no opposing argument filed against Measure O with the city clerkβs office.
