‘Volcano of Fire' Spews Lava, Ash in Mexico

Mexico's Colima Volcano — also known as the "Volcano of Fire" — continued its dayslong eruption Friday, spewing ash miles into the air and bubbling lava down its flanks, The Associated Press reported. One of Mexico's most active volcanoes, Colima first started erupting around 11 a.m. local time Thursday. Locals were advised to stay at least three miles away from the volcano's peak, the director of Mexico's civil protection agency tweeted Friday.
