Taiwan Investigates Concert Explosion That Injured 498

Investigators descended on a Taiwan water park Sunday to determine what caused a fiery explosion that injured 498 people at a packed concert there the night before, Reuters reported. Authorities suspected that colored powder, which was sprayed on spectators as part of the festival, was the cause of the explosion. The injury figure was pegged at 498, slightly lower than the 519 initially reported because some patients transferred between hospitals were double-counted. Among the injured were six foreigners and seven visitors from Hong Kong, mainland China and Macau.
