Maine Snowstorm Leaves Thousands Without Power

More than 130,000 homes and businesses were left without power across Maine from an early winter storm that dumped nearly two feet of snow in parts of the state Sunday night, NBC News reported. Maine Gov. Paul LePage declared a state of emergency. Snow also fell as far south and east as Charleston, South Carolina. Warmer temperatures were expected Monday, though more snow is expected across parts of northern New York and New England on Friday.
