Luis Castillo played 82 games in the NFL, all of them for the San Diego Chargers, starting in 2005 when the Bolts took him out of Northwestern in the first round of the Draft.
Castillo is retired but still makes his home in San Diego. He's picked up other sports like triathlons and golf and in a few weeks he will be hiking Mount Kilimanjaro with former teammate Nick Hardwick. Luis was one of the former Bolts who helped campaign for Measure C, the convadium proposal that was shot down by San Diego voters last November.
Now Castillo sees a new opportunity for San Diego to grow. He attended the presentation of the local investment group looking to bring Major League Soccer to San Diego and is willing to help with the new proposal. He explained why to NBC 7 SportsWrap.
