I will be lazy tonight and just let the official PGA Tour Third-Round Notes describe how bad Tiger Woods was on Saturday at the Farmers Insurance Open at Torrey Pines, when he shot a 7-over 79 to miss the 54-hole cut:

This is the first time Woods has not played the final round at the Farmers Insurance Open in 14 total starts. He has made all 14 36-hole cuts in San Diego.

This is the first time Woods has missed a 54-hole cut on TOUR.

In 13 previous starts in the Farmers Insurance Open, Woods never finished the tournament with an over-par total.

His worst total score in relation to par, was 1-under in 2011. His worst previous finish also came in 2011 (T44).

Prior to today, Woods’ worst round in the Farmers Insurance Open was a 77 (R2/2002).

Tiger Woods' two consecutive double-bogeys on Nos. 18 (score-7) and 1 (score-6) in Saturday's third round marked his first such stretch since the 2011 PGA Championship at Atlanta Athletic Club, where he posted double-double on Nos. 11 (score-6) and 12 (score-7) in the second round.

Tiger Woods’ highest rounds on TOUR as a professional:
81 2002 Open Championship (Seven bogeys and two double-bogeys in R3)
79 2014 Farmers Insurance Open (Back-to-back double-bogeys in R3)
79 2013 the Memorial Tournament (Three double-bogeys in R3)
79 2010 Wells Fargo Championship (Back-to-back double-bogeys in R2)

Keep in mind, this is a man who has won eight times on this golf course as a pro, including last year. It was such a complete and total meltdown, Woods did not speak to the media after the round.

What was he going to say, really?

Instead of a Woods atop the leaderboard, there's a Woodland. Gary Woodland shot a 2-under 70 to take a 1-shot lead to Sunday, but he has an awful lot of company.

22 players are within four shots of the lead, including Torrey Pines H.S. alum Pat Perez, who shot an even-par 72 to finish 6-under for the tournament. With no Phil Mickelson and no Tiger Woods, there's a good chance Perez will take on the role of fan favorite on Sunday.
