Earlier this season Aztec pole vaulter Bonnie Draxler did something amazing. She set a new Mountain West record, clearing 14'10", the third best mark in the nation this season.
This weekend she hopes to accomplish another impressive feat.
The SDSU senior will compete in the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships in Birmingham.
"I want to win," Draxler said. "It's been my goal since I was a freshman, go to Nationals and win."
In February Draxler became the first male or female athlete in Mountain West history to win a fourth pole vault title.

Draxler will be making her second appearance at the NCAA Indoor Championships. She finished 16th last year.
Now in the home stretch of her impressive collegiate career her goal is to become a professional in hopes of one day qualifying for the Olympics.
"With the improvements that I've made this past year I'm excited to graduate and become a professional."
