One person was killed and at least two others were injured by gunfire inside a Costco store in Corona on Friday night, police confirmed.
The Corona Police Department responded to the store at 479 N. McKinley St. at around 7:45 p.m. expecting an active shooter situation and found one person dead and two adults with gunshot wounds.
A shooter was detained inside the store and he was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries. The victim was identified only as a man.
Witnesses told police there was an argument prior to the shooting, according to a CPD spokesperson.
Overhead footage from NBC Los Angeles's newchopper showed customers being escorted out of the store.
A tweet from CPD sent at around 9:10 p.m. said the situation had been stabilized and that there was no threat to the community.
