A San Diego man was killed on the 405 just north of Seal Beach Boulevard in Seal Beach Saturday afternoon California Highway Patrol confirmed.
Edmundo Ritarita, 72, was driving a Ford Explorer southbound on I-405 just after 2 p.m. when either he or the driver of a Mercedes made an ‘unsafe lane change’ CHP said. Both drivers lost control of their vehicles and the Ford rolled several times.
Ritarita was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Mercedes was transported to the hospital with minor injuries.
