Two men are in custody after an incident at Plaza Bonita Mall in National City involving a loaded gun, National City Police said.
The incident happened at 3:56 p.m. on the 3000 block of Plaza Bonita Road.
A shopper called 911 to report the suspects with a possible gun, though the people did not threaten anyone.
When officers arrived, they found a man with a loaded gun.
Three people were initially detained, and two men in their 20s were eventually arrested. Both were booked into county jail on multiple gun violations and resisting arrest in the food court area of the mall.
The gun was handed over to police in the incident.
