Ladies, please be careful the next time you visit the University Towne Center area -- there's a groper on the loose.
The San Diego Police Department is investigating 10 incidents involving a man who exposing himself to women and, in some cases, groped them in a sexual manner. The incidents all took place during the last few months. It appears that the police have received a variety of descriptions of the suspect, but investigators believe the same man committed all the crimes.
Police said that in most of the incidents, the creep approached the women, then grabbed either their buttocks or groins, then exposed himself before fleeing.
Women in the UTC area should try to park in well-lit areas and call police if they see anybody suspicious. Anyone with information about the case is being urged to call police at 858-552-1700.
