A pedestrian was struck on the westbound State Route 94 in Lemon Grove Monday afternoon, California Highway Patrol officers confirmed.
The crash happened just east of College Avenue, on the freeway, officers said. The right lanes of the state route were temporarily blocked off as officials investigated.
Authorities did not have details on what happened. The pedestrian was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
The car involved in the crash remained at the scene.
No other information was immediately available.
