California Highway Patrol (CHP) officials are investigating the death of a pedestrian found on Interstate 805 Saturday night.
The incident happened shortly before 11:30 p.m. Saturday night when CHP officers responded to a call.
Officials said it appears a car hit the pedestrian on I-805 near El Cajon Boulevard.
The driver stopped afterward, authorities said. CHP officials could not confirm if the driver was cited or not.
Authorities are not looking for other cars.
The person has not been identified.
