The residents of an Ocean Beach home were knocked to the ground by two people who forced themselves through the front door early Wednesday, San Diego Police said.
Two people armed with guns robbed the home on Saratoga Avenue after 6 a.m., police said.
The suspects knocked over two people inside and then ransacked the home.
They were last seen traveling southbound on Cable Street.
Neighbors told NBC 7 they were pretty shaken up that these armed robbers could force their way into the home.
What's even more worrying for neighbors is that this all happened a few feet away from the Sacred Heart Academy Pre-School.
Police were investigating the crime. The suspects were wearing black clothing and bandanas covering their faces.
