Man Fatally Stabbed in San Ysidro Identified

Nelson Moradel, 24, lived in San Diego

A man stabbed to death in San Ysidro last Thursday was identified by San Diego police Sunday.

Nelson Moradel, 24, was found unconscious on a sidewalk in the 300 block of Sycamore Road around 5:45 a.m.

He had been stabbed several times according to police.

The investigation is ongoing, and their preliminary investigation revealed possible evidence found all the way south to Cesar Chavez Park.

“There are some articles of clothing we’re investigating which may or may not be related to our victim or our suspects,” San Diego Police Department Homicide Lt. Manuel Del Toro said.

No arrests have been made. Moradel lived in San Diego.
