Patron Returns to Steakhouse, Opens Fire

The shooting took place at the Junction Steakhouse and Sports Bar on Jamacha Road near Washington Avenue around 12:30 a.m.

A man drinking at an East County restaurant and bar left the business only to return and open fire.

One man was injured during the shooting at the Junction Steakhouse and Sports Bar on Jamacha Road near Washington Avenue around 12:30 a.m. Monday.

Cein Kelley, 29, of El Cajon, was involved in an argument while inside the bar according to El Cajon police.

Kelley left but came back with a revolver and started firing the gun in the restaurant's parking lot police said.

A 25-year-old man was shot in the foot. Emergency crews took the unidentified man to the hospital. Police said his injury was not life threatening.

Other Junction Steakhouse cutomers detained Kelley until police could arrive and take him into custody.

Another man was detained for questioning temporarily by police but was not arrested.

Kelley was booked into county jail.

The restaurant, formerly known as the Jamacha Bar & Grille, was remodeled and reopened in 2010.
