Firefighters had to rescue a person who became trapped in a sports car that veered off a Rancho Santa Fe roadway on Tuesday.
At least a half-dozen firefighters worked to pull the trapped man from the Jaguar that crashed sometime before 4:35 a.m. on El Camino Del Norte near Del Dios Road.
The white sports car for unknown reasons veered off the roadway and rolled over, landing in a ditch and wedged near a tree trunk.
One person who suffered minor injuries was taken to the hospital for treatment.
The roadway was closed for more than an hour but reopened shortly after 6 a.m.
San Diego Gas & Electric was requested to evaluate the integrity of a nearby pole that may have been damaged in the crash. There were no outages reported in the area.
