Somber But Defiant: Boston Marks 1 Year Since Bombings

Boston paused Tuesday somberly to mark one year since the Boston Marathon bombings, hoisting a flag in a formal ceremony and holding a brief moment of silence at the time twin bombs tore through the finish line one year ago. Vice President Joe Biden, Gov. Deval Patrick and Mayor Marty Walsh all spoke at a commemoration, joined by first responders, marathon survivors and thousands from all around the city. Biden called survivors "an inspiration to people all over this country."
