Human remains were found Saturday near the vehicle of a missing person in Escondido, sheriffs' deputies said.
A CHP helicopter spotted the vehicle on Lawrence Welk Court.
"The vehicle was reported missing in September of this year, " Sergeant James Bovet said. "Human remains were located a short distance from the vehicle."
The remains have not been identified. Foul play is not expected, Bovet said.
